McGrady to teach a new yoga class

Building on the popularity of two yoga classes offered to students, faculty and staff of UTC, another class will be offered starting March 1.

"It will be a beginning power yoga class. It is designed to be more strenuous than the corporate relaxation yoga but not as strenuous as the advanced power yoga class," according to Dr. Burch Oglesby, assistant professor of exercise science, health and leisure studies.

Carol McGrady will teach the class, designed to emphasize movements through increased muscular strength/endurance, flexibility, and body discipline through isometric exercise. "These exercises are low impact, yet very effective," according to Oglesby.

This class will meet Tuesday and Thursday nights from 5:15 p.m.- 6 p.m. in the Arena Dance Studio.
