Join COPC to Encourage Literacy for Youngsters

If you would like to read to children, The Reading Center, part of the Community Outreach Partnership Center (COPC) needs you. The COPC is part of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, houses the Martin Luther King Neighborhood Children's Reading Center. It is located at 401 East Martin Luther King, Jr., Boulevard.

Besides volunteers, the Reading Center needs donations of books, specifically, Encyclopedia Brown Boy Detective, Tom Sawyer (Mark Twain), Huck Finn (Mark Twain), and Puddin' Head Wilson (Mark Twain). A reading club is being started for boys. However, donations of any child's book on audiocassette accompanied by the book would be appreciated.

The Reading Center is open evenings on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
