Sandra Cagle Wins July's Blue Ribbon Award
Sandra Cagle, senior secretary of computing services, is the Blue Ribbon winner for the month of July. In her nomination, Vivian Schmid, senior programmer, pointed out that Sandra divided her time between the computer center and CECA for three years where there were more than 30 student workers to supervise in addition to payroll and paperwork for both offices. "Sandra has been a valuable part of our UTC computer center family since 1984. The service she provides is invaluable to everyone, but she is particularly close to the student workers who often seek her out for advice or a sympathetic ear," wrote Vivian.
Has a UTC employee gone the extra mile to help you? You can show your appreciation by nominating that person for a Blue Ribbon Award. A committee appointed by the chancellor selects monthly winners who exhibit outstanding service. Nominations should be specific in identifying incidents that show the nominee has served with special distinction. All non-faculty staff (full or part-time) with at least one year's regular service are eligible for the award. Any UTC faculty, staff, student, alumnus, or member of the community can submit nominations.
