Youth University Discount Offered
The folks in continuing education have once again packed UTC's Youth University & Junior Camps full of innovative summer fun for area children.
One week sessions begin June 8 and run through August 7, and are all available to the children and grandchildren of UTC employees at a 25 percent discount. The Youth University sessions for grades K-8 cover a wide variety of topics and interests, such as languages (ABC's of German, Que Pasa), art (Chalk it Up, Illustration Station), math (Making Sense out of Cents), science (Webs, Wings & Wiggly Things, Little Einstein's), music and sports. Junior Camps for grades 7-9 include art, drama, computer, golf, music, and more.
The "one day only" UTC family registration will be Wednesday, April 29, from 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. You must register this day in order to receive the discount. A 20 percent down payment is due on April 29 for all sessions. To qualify for the discount you must be a UTC employee and the parent, step-parent, legal guardian or grandparent of the registrant.
The discounted price for a week in Youth University will be $75. Students can take up to four classes during the week from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The discounted prices for Junior Camps range from $97.50 to $112.50 and run from 9 a.m.-noon, with the exception of music and art camp, which run a full day. Early morning and late afternoon child care is available.
In order to accommodate budget planning, a payment plan has been established for UTC employees. For a complete schedule, or more information, call the office of continuing education at 425-4344.
