Christopher Stokes is a native of Nashville,Tennessee and the first in his family
to attend and graduate from a four year university. He received his B.S. in Anthropology
and Sociology from UTC in 2003. He has served the university in various roles as a
Resident Director with the University Residence Life Department, Coordinator for the
Upward Bound Math Science (TRIO) Program, staff advisor for numerous student organizations,
and currently as the Academic Specialist for the Student Support Services (TRIO) Program.
"Stokes," as students refer to him, brings a combined wealth of knowledge and resources,
with over 10 years of experience. During that time his primary roles have been to
engage and prepare under-represented students for the rigors of post-secondary entry,
persistence, and advancement.
Campus Emergency Preparedness Exercise is Tuesday, October 21
UTC emergency preparedness personnel, along with local responding agencies such as the Chattanooga City Police Department and the Hamilton County Emergency Medical Service, will be conducting a campus-wide practice exercise and training simulation on Tuesday, October 21, 9 a.m.-noon.
You may see emergency personnel and equipment at various locations on campus. Do not panic. This is all part of the exercise.
In the event of a real emergency, the UTC ALERT system will be activated and relevant information will be shared with the campus.
