Cecelia M. Wigal received her Ph.D. in 1998 from Northwestern University, her MSEE from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1991, and her BSEE From Ohio Northern University in 1985.  She is a professor of engineering at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) where she teaches freshmen and upper level interdisciplinary design courses and upper level industrial engineering courses.  Her primary areas of research interest    include complex process and system analysis, quality process analysis with respect to nontraditional applications such as patient safety and education. Dr. Wigal is interested in engineering education reform to address present and future student and national and international needs. Dr. Wigal is also an Affiliate Professor for the Project Lead the Way (PLTW) curriculum.
