Lynn Robertson is a science Clinical Instructor for STEM Education. She has taught
middle and high school sciences and served as a consulting teacher and NSF science
specialist for Hamilton County Schools. Prior to joining the STEM Education faculty,
she taught biological sciences and was an academic coach in North Georgia. She holds
an undergraduate degree in secondary education from the University of Tennessee (Knoxville)
and a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Tennessee
(Chattanooga.) Having an interest in all aspects of teaching and learning, she has
served on state Gateway assessment committees, textbook adoptions, presented at national
conferences, and compiled the Georgia state standards for Zoology. One accomplishment
she considers most rewarding is the number of new teachers she has mentored that are
now successful classroom instructors. And one professional goal she wishes she could
accomplish...stamping out "cook book" labs!
Campus Emergency Preparedness Exercise is Tuesday, October 21
UTC emergency preparedness personnel, along with local responding agencies such as the Chattanooga City Police Department and the Hamilton County Emergency Medical Service, will be conducting a campus-wide practice exercise and training simulation on Tuesday, October 21, 9 a.m.-noon.
You may see emergency personnel and equipment at various locations on campus. Do not panic. This is all part of the exercise.
In the event of a real emergency, the UTC ALERT system will be activated and relevant information will be shared with the campus.
