Praxis Exams

If you fall under the checkpoints you can apply for student teaching, but you cannot register or receive a placement until you have provided documentation that you have passed all required Praxis exams for your licensure (see below). Scores must be received by UTC by the dates listed below in order to be allowed to register for Student Teaching.

Scores must be received by December 19 to Student Teach in the Spring and August 1 to Student Teach in the Fall.

Test required for TEP Admission: All tests taken after July 14, 2014 must be the Praxis I: Core Academic Skills for Educators. Praxis I: PPST is accepted if passing scores are from a test date prior to July 15, 2014.
