Spirit Kit Care Packages
The transition to college is a very fun and exciting time, but can also be very stressful. The UTC Student Alumni Council (SAC) offers parents a great way to send their UTC student a “Spirit Kit” to help them endure this challenging time. Everyone loves getting packages, but this package will help your student get off the on right foot at UTC. And a package from someone who loves them at home is sure to bring a smile to your students face.
The SAC Spirit Kits are created and distributed by the UTC Student Alumni Council. Proceeds from the sale of the kits benefit the various services and programs offered by the Student Alumni Council, including Real World 101, student and alumni networking events, UTC Dinner with 12 Strangers, Holiday Angel Tree, Founder’s Day and Trading Places (to name a few).
Mocs Spirit Kits
Iincludes a UTC cooler filled with assorted candy, snacks, brain food, a UTC water bottle, a UTC Sticker and UTC lanyard (for their Mocs ID card). It is sure to make their day when they receive it. It is the ultimate kit of materials to help your student prepare for their college experience, down to the football tailgates, long night study sessions and loud pep rallies.
FAM Deluxe Option
In addition to all of the items in the standard Spirit Kit, the FAM Deluxe Option includes automatic membership into The FAM (UTC Future Alumni Members), a membership community of students who help to preserve campus traditions, build campus spirit and connect with alumni for future career networking opportunities.
Included in the FAM Deluxe Option is your student’s FAM Member Card, which is good for discounts at various local Chattanooga restaurants and businesses, their FAM member t-shirt and their own copy of The FAM Traditions Scrapbook. This option is sure to help them keep track of their Chattanooga collegiate memories while preparing them for their future.
Final Exam Season
One of the most popular times to give the kits to your child, and also a great way to say “good luck on your exams”, many parents choose to order a kit to be sent leading into the semester final exam season. Please note, to ensure that they receive their package arrives on time for the final exam season, please make sure to order your kits no later than the first week of November (for fall semester) and the first week of March (for spring semester).
For a special touch you will be able to include a personal message! Once the Spirit Kits are put together with your personal note, your student will be notified via email and told when and where the kits will be available to be picked up. The kits will then be handed out to your son or daughter at convenient booths located on campus. If they are unavailable to pick up their kit at the booth they will be notified through email once more, and will be able to pick them up at the Patten Alumni House.
