Dr. Auchter joined the department as an Assistant Professor of Political Science in fall 2012.  Her main research and teaching interests lie in the field of International Relations.  She has published articles in Review of International Studies, International Feminist Journal of Politics, and a book review in the Journal of Politics, and has chapters in forthcoming edited volume projects.  Her book, The Politics of Haunting and Memory in International Relations will be published by Routledge in 2014.  She is the recipient of the Fred Hartmann paper award from the International Studies Association for her research on memorials to undocumented immigrants who die crossing the US-Mexico border.  Dr. Auchter also serves on the editorial communications team for the journal International Political Sociology, and on the governing council of the International Studies Association Northeast.  She regularly presents her research at international conferences.
