Miller Analogies Test (MAT)

General Information:

The Miller Analogies Test (MAT) is a 60-minute test consisting of 120 analogies.  Students applying for admission to master's degree programs may be required to submit MAT scores. 

On test day, a total of one hour and fifteen minutes will be required for exam administration and the registration process.  The exam fee is $80, payable by check, cash, or money order to UTC (non-refundable).

Test Dates:  The MAT is administered by appointment only in Hooper Hall Room 205.  Click HERE for a campus map.

Registration Instructions:
1.  Completely fill out the registration form. (Click HERE for registration form)

2.  Mail the registration form and the $80 non-refundable fee to the address on the form.  Once your registration form and non-refundable fee are received, you will receive an email to schedule a test date.  Once a test date is scheduled, a receipt confirmation and directions will be mailed to you.  If you need to reschedule for any reason, including arriving too late for your scheduled test or arriving without ID, you must pay a $25 rescheduling fee.

3. Make sure to bring your photo ID on your test day in order to be able to test.

Test Results:  At the completion of your exam, you will receive a preliminary score.  Your official score will be mailed to the institutions that you designated.  An official score will be mailed approximately three weeks after your test to your home address and to the school(s) selected to receive score reports.
