UTC Research Day Showcase
Research Day 2014 is Friday, March 21, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
University Center - Chattanooga, Tennessee, and UC Foundation Rooms
What is Research Day?
Research Day is about more than just research. It's a day for students and faculty to display and talk about their projects, no matter what discipline they're from. Previous displays have included robots, artwork, architectural models, research results, musical compositions, and information about various centers on campus.
How can you participate?
Everyone: Stop by and visit! Grab a cup of coffee and wander among the poster presentations, choose a few platform presentations to attend, and listen to remarks by the Chancellor and Provost. This year we are offering two symposia (panel discussions) in the UC Foundation Room. At 9:30, there will be a symposium entitled, “Physical Activity and the Importance of Place,” and at 1:00 there will be a symposium entitled, “Would You Want to Live to 100+?” Plan to attend for lively, moderated panel discussions on intriguing topics.
Faculty: Visit Research Day to support students in your department and encourage the students in your classes to visit Research Day! You may even consider offering extra credit to students who participate.
