Bill Staley elected new SGA President
Newly elected Student Government Association (SGA) officers for 2007-2008 are:
President Bill Staley, business major with a minor in Spanish; Vice President Drew Holland, finance major; and Treasurer Clint Daniel, economics major.
Staley says he will work to maximize effectiveness of students through planning. “We need to collaborate to increase student involvement, working toward the synchronization of the student body,” Staley said. “I plan to start having meetings at the end of this semester to begin the process.”
Drew Holland of Franklin, Tennessee, plans to graduate in May 2008. He has served as Chair and representative for the College of Business in SGA and as Executive Vice President and charter member of business fraternity Alpha Kappa Psi. He was a member of the Honor Court, the Mocs Squad and a resident assistant for two years. Holland has an interest in real estate, and hopes to become an entrepreneur.
Clint Daniel of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, plans to graduate in May, 2009. He has been an SGA senator, treasurer of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, treasurer of the Interfraternity Council, and a member of the executive committee of “Up ‘til Dawn,” a fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Upon graduation, Daniel hopes to enter law school and become a corporate or tax attorney.
