Announcement of Chancellor's Candidates Finalists
The Chancellor's Search Committee at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga announced March 3, 2005 names of the eight finalists who will be invited to campus for a series of interviews.
"We are very fortunate to have a wonderfully qualified pool of
candidates from which to choose. They are all in senior administrative
positions, mostly provosts and executive vice presidents," said Dr.
Verbie Prevost, professor of English and chair of the search committee. "The
committee is taking its role seriously and will be carefully
considering each of these candidates."
The committee hopes to complete candidate interviews during the week of March 14. Schedules will be distributed as soon as they completed.
"We want the campus and the community to help us sell UTC and Chattanooga to these candidates. We have a comprehensive university with high academic quality and a thriving community, and we want these candidates to see what we have to offer," said Prevost.
