Career Day opens the door for students
Corporations, state and federal agencies, and non-profit organizations were among more than 80 exhibitors at Career Day 2005, held in the University Center. The Placement & Student Employment Center, Counseling & Career Planning Center, and the Office of Cooperative Education sponsored the event.
Career Day provides an opportunity for students to network with employers for career opportunities as well as part-time, co-op, internships and summer jobs.
“It is very helpful for students who will graduate in May to meet potential employers,” said Amy Prevost, SGA President. “Students were able to meet representatives from a variety of businesses, and pass out their resumes. It is a good first step into the job market.”
