Black History Month events scheduled at UTC
Wednesday, February 22nd
The H.H. Battle Professorship hosts Mentor’s
Day from 8-10 am. Howard High School students will be welcomed to the UTC
campus and immersed in the college experience. For the last two years,
students attending Mentor’s Day have had an opportunity to visit
classrooms offering diverse programs including U.S. politics, creative
writing, graphic design, and more.

A Walk Through African-America. This detailed
exhibition by UC Foundation Professor of English, Earl Braggs will highlight
African American history, literature and the Civil Rights Movement.

Tuesday, February 28
Body and Soul: Black Groups and Duets, Black Student Alliance.
A showcase of famous Black Duets & Groups performed by students. Time
