The Student Development Office at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sponsors an opportunity for first-year students called MOCS Camp. MOCS Camp has something for every new UTC student. The camp focuses on “getting involved” in the UTC community and the Chattanooga area.
What is MOCS Camp?
MOCS camp is a 3- day retreat for 75 incoming freshman. MOCS Camp facilitates the transition between high school and college by allowing new students to meet faculty, staff and student leaders who will teach you about school spirit and traditions at UTC. The camp will begin with an introduction to downtown Chattanooga followed by opportunities to shop at area malls, rock climb at Coolidge Park, visit the Bluff View Art District, tour the Chattanooga area and much much more. Not to mention, a visit to the Tennessee Aquarium and a rafting trip down the mighty Ocoee River.
Who is MOCS Camp?
MOCS Camp is facilitated by a group of upper class student leaders. These MOCS Camp counselors are the leaders of various religious, Greek, & student organizations. MOCS Camp participants will have a one on one connection with these outstanding men & women.
Registration for Summer 2009 Mocs Camp starts January 2009.
