Our Program

Interior Design is a department within the College of Education and Applied Professional Studies. The Department of Human Ecology has as its mission the highest level of preparation possible of students in selected professions represented within the Department's program offerings.

The focus of the program within our university is an integrative field of study which deals with people in their near environments and the quality of life and relationships within the environments. Design is not only a product such as these portfolio examples typify but a process that involves intensive preplanning, concept development, programming, and schematics before arriving at finals solutions on presentation boards.
