Student Organizations for Interior Design

 Students participating in IDA

Interior Design Alliance (IDA)

The Interior Design Alliance (IDA) is a student led organization comprised of Interior Design majors with two faculty sponsors. IDA serves as an umbrella organization for student chapters of The American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) with a central focus on learning opportunities, community engagement, and networking within the context of interior design. Students are involved in activities that bridge the gap between the school environment and the professional world by promoting further knowledge and understanding of the Interior Design profession including speakers, field-trips, and other events. The organization provides opportunities to network with professionals and other interior design students, get involved in the design community and leadership roles, attend seminars and conferences, enter competitions and receive scholarships, and a chance to advance the interior design profession at UTC.
