A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Christian Rushing is a graduate of both the University
of New Mexico and Auburn University. He served as Senior Planner in Chattanooga’s
Downtown Planning & Design Studio before establishing the design firm of Kennedy,
Coulter, Rushing & Watson in 2005. In 2008 he designed and developed the award-winning
Madison Street project in the Southside- Tennessee first LEED Platinum homes. In 2009,
he submitted the winning proposal for the Jefferson Heights Park Pavilion Design Competition.
In 2011 Christian established Studio C.Rushing, an urban design consulting firm. In
that capacity he has moderated River City Company’s Urban Design Challenge, curated
the Urban Design Studio Retrospective, served as lead consultant for Chattanooga’s
City Center Plan, and provides consulting services for clients across the country.
In addition to his consulting work he is the design principal in a residential design/build
partnership with Collier Construction.
Campus Emergency Preparedness Exercise is Tuesday, October 21
UTC emergency preparedness personnel, along with local responding agencies such as the Chattanooga City Police Department and the Hamilton County Emergency Medical Service, will be conducting a campus-wide practice exercise and training simulation on Tuesday, October 21, 9 a.m.-noon.
You may see emergency personnel and equipment at various locations on campus. Do not panic. This is all part of the exercise.
In the event of a real emergency, the UTC ALERT system will be activated and relevant information will be shared with the campus.
