UT Software Distribution

There are several software packages available for academic use. Note that installation, activation instructions, and codes are usually a separate download!

Departmental Purchases

Departments can purchase other Microsoft software for University computers through the UT Technology Store.  VMware Fusion can be purchased through Apple or CDWG.


Software for Home Use

Microsoft Office

As part of the Campus Agreement UT Faculty and staff can purchase a personal copy from Microsoft under the Enterprise Home Use Program (eHUP). The cost of the software is $9.95 and there is an option for a backup DVD copy for an additional $12. To obtain the software you must (1) download the Home Use instructions document from the UT software distribution site then (2) go to http://hup.microsoft.com. The products available under the eHUP include:

  • Office Professional Plus for Windows
  • Office Home & Business for Mac
