Security Awareness Presentations
The Office of Information Security would like to invite you to join us at our monthly security awareness presentations. Twice a month we'll have an hour long discussion about a relevant security topic. Some of our previous topics include, Safer Browsing Habits, The Underground Economy of Identity Theft, Social Networking and Social Engineering. Please note that we discuss one topic per month, on two different dates. This gives people a second chance to attend. Join us with your questions and contact us if you have a specific topic that you'd like us to cover.
National Cyber Security Awareness Month Presentations
October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month (NCSAM) and before going online we would like you to Stop.Think. then Connect. NSCAM is a Department of Homeland Security effort to make the public aware of the risk to privacy while shopping, gaming, sharing files, and participating in social networking sites. During October the IT Security Office will be presenting a series of presentations that follow the weekly themes of the NCSAM campaign. You all are invited to attended our presentations each Tuesday and Wednesday during October, and would like to thank everyone who has attended our sessions so far.
UTC's network security is of utmost importance because it is the first line of defense against threats originating from the Internet. Visit the STAYING SAFE section of the UTC Network website for more information about having a safer computing experience while using UTC's network.
