Summer Employment Opportunities

UTC Housing and Residence Life is seeking student workers for several summer employment opportunities:

Conference Assistant (CA)

Conference Assistants work with each Camp/Conference staying in one of UTC Housing complexes. Tasks include: room preparation, check in’s and check out’s, office hours and other related tasks. They respond to lockouts, emergency situations, and policy violations. They also monitor residence hall complex conditions and fill out maintenance and custodial work orders when necessary. CA’s are not permitted to have other summer employment or take classes.

Compensation: free room on-campus for the summer and a $1,500 stipend

Resident Assistants (RA)

Resident Assistants work with summer school residents. They are student staff members that are responsible for community development within the complex and on campus. They respond to lockouts, emergency situations, and policy violations. They also monitor residence hall complex conditions and fill out maintenance and custodial work orders when necessary. Summer RA’s must be enrolled in at least 1 summer course and are typically RA’s during the academic year.

Compensation: free room on-campus for the summer and a $500 stipend

Maintenance Assistant

Maintenance Assistants are student staff that assist with summer maintenance projects. Tasks may include, but are not limited to: moving furniture or appliances, lawn care, minor installation projects and other related tasks.

Compensation: $7.25 an hour
