Dr. Gary Liguori
Gary Liguori is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) and the Department Head of Health and Human Performance at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Gary received his Ph.D. in Wellness from NDSU and has had previous faculty appointments at North Dakota State University, Youngstown State University and the University of Wyoming.
Gary is a member of the Executive Committee for the ACSM CCRB (Committee on Certifications and Registry’s Board), serves as a Mentor in ACSM’s National Diversity and Leadership program, is the Senior Editor of the first edition ACSM Resource Manual for the HFS, is an Associate Editor for ACSM’s flagship textbook, the Guidelines for Exercise Testing and Prescription (10th ed.), and was a participant in the 2014 ACSM Scientific Roundtable on Pre-Participation Screening for Physical Activity. Gary also recently completed revisions on the 3rd edition of Questions & Answers: A Guide to Fitness and Wellness (McGraw-Hill).
