Step 1 - Complete an on-line UTC Athletic Training Program Interest Form for the XXXX academic year.  Click HERE to access this form.  Please complete the form, save a copy for your files and send an electronic attachment to the UTC GATP e-mail at: gatp@utc.edu

**TIP: Try to send everything in one packet to make it easier for the Graduate School to track your application, and prevent the potential loss of materials and documents related to your application.

 

Step 2 - Complete the application to Graduate School (http://www.utc.edu/apply/) Please note: Be sure to apply for a summer 2014 term start (not the fall semester)

Step 3 - Have one (1) copy of ALL Transcripts from ALL colleges and universities attended sent to the Graduate School

Step 4 - Have one (1) copy of Official GRE scores sent to the Graduate School (test scores must be within the last five years)

Step 5 - Have three (3) individuals who can provide a reference for you complete reference FORMS– You MUST use forms found HERE

Step 6 - Provide a current cover letter and resume

Step 7 - Please provide copies of prerequisite course descriptions (the UTC GATP reserves the right to request course syllabi to determine whether or not a specific course truly satisfies the prerequisite requirements) You may find more details of the prerequisite courses HERE

Step 8 - Please make a copy of the front and back of your current CPR and First Aid Certification Cards (online CPR courses cannot be accepted)

Step 9 - Signed Technical Standards form, located HERE

Beginning this year, the UTC GATP will utilize Skype technology for an initial interviewing process.  To qualify for a Skype interview, the GATP must have, on record, ALL of the items listed in Steps 1-9 above.  In addition, students should have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA

 

On-campus Interview Option

To be invited for the on-campus interview option (for one (1) of two (2) designated dates (late fall and early spring)) invitations will be based on the results of the Skype interview.  The on-campus interviews will include:

 

    1. Campus tour
    2. Meet with faculty
    3. Meet students
    4. Visit clinical sites
    5. Information session
