Better Together is a nationwide initiative organized by Interfaith Youth Core.  Interfaith Youth Core (IFYC) is a nationally active non-profit organization that seeks to make interfaith cooperation a social norm. IFYC works across the ecology of a campus, offering direct support and unique resources to students, staff, and faculty members who are doing interfaith and diversity work. Programs include grassroots organizing, student social action campaigns, leadership trainings, capacity building engagements, and custom-made resources. IFYC encourages campuses to adopt and adapt their programs and initiatives to fit their campus climate and design. April 14th has been designated as Better Together Day by IFYC, and we decided to bring it to UTC in Spring, 2015. Sponsors included The Chancellor’s Office, The Dean of Students Office, The Office of Equity & Diversity, Campus Recreation, Housing & Residence Life, The Women Center, Counseling & Personal Development Center, Career & Student Employment Center, The Disability Resource Center, The Office of Alumni Affairs, and a number of student organizations including Hispanic Outreach Leadership Association, Black Student Alliance, The Littleton H. Mason Singers The National Pan-Hellenic Council, The Panhellenic Association, Interfraternity Council, Student Government Association, Graduate Student Association, Freshman Senate, Step Up,  Indian Student Association, Scholarly Men In Action, Muslim Student Association, and Campus Ministries.
