Accreditation
The B.S. Engineering program is accredited by ABET, Inc. The B.S. Engineering program now includes engineering specializations in civil, chemical, environmental, and industrial. These specialties are accredited in the ABET classification ‘Nontraditional Engineering Programs.’
In 2004, the electrical and mechanical specialties that existed in the B.S. Engineering program were accredited by ABET, Inc. as traditional electrical and mechanical engineering programs using the program criteria for electrical and mechanical engineering.
The B.S. Computer Science "Information Science" program is accredited by ABET, Inc. The specific concentrations accredited are the Informational Science concentration and the Scientific Applications concentration.
The CECS full-time faculty has extensive experience in engineering or computer science, professional practice, research, and higher education. In addition, the college draws on the talents of adjunct faculty who are employed in professional capacities in a variety of industrial and governmental settings.
