Suzanne Carter received her BS from University of Chattanooga in Music and Education and Masters degree from University of Cincinnati. She won the Young Artist Competition for advanced study in Voice and studied and performed opera and musical theatre in New York City and Munich Germany for 10 years. She Toured with Sound of Music National tour and Little Met opera. Suzanne taught singing and musically directed various musicals at Vancouver City College for 8 years before joining the faculty at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. She has written music for four original shows for the theatre department including 3 Follies. Suzanne teaches singing, and has been musical director for various musicals in the theatre department. She has written music, scripted, directed, and toured with the nationally acclaimed Ripe and Ready Players , a musical theatre group of older adults. She currently teaches voice and diction, as well as public speaking.
