Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Learning with a minor in Social Work at East Tennessee State University (ETSU) in 2013. Matt continued his education at ETSU until 2015 with the completion of his Master’s degree in Counseling. During his time as ETSU Matt was an active advocate for students with disabilities, sexual orientation minorities, and gender minorities. Simultaneously, Matt advised multiple student organizations for the purpose of improving student leadership and developing resources for both LGBT students and students with disabilities.

Matt moved to Chattanooga in December of 2015 with his induction into the UTC family. Since his previous work involved working with individuals with autism through his internship during his Master’s program, he is excited to become a contribution to the MoSAIC program. Matt plans to continue growing during his time at UTC with plans of perusing a doctoral program in the future.
