Martin began working as a mentor for the Mosaic Program with the Disability Resource Center as a student in 2012.  Through that experience he developed a passion advocating and helping students with disabilities in higher education.  Martin’s passion has led him to his current role with the DRC as the Internal Program Specialist for the Mosaic Program. Martin coordinates programs, mentors, and coaching for students as well as assists with many other needs that the Mosaic students might have.

In the past, with the support of the DRC, Martin created “DiversABILITY.”.  This is an annual event that brings students together from all backgrounds to learn more about disabilities on the campus of UTC.

Martin is currently finishing the last semester of his undergraduate Biology degree at UTC, and is looking forward to getting his Master’s degree in the near future. He has been involved on UTC’s campus in various clubs and organizations in past. He enjoys living an active lifestyle outdoors, hiking, camping, baseball and enjoying all that Chattanooga has to offer.
