Coming from Connecticut where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Quinnipiac University in 2004 and Master’s degree in Counseling in Higher Education from Central Connecticut State University in 2009, Steve has been with the Disability Resource Center since 2009. Before entering the field of higher education, Steve worked for the Banking, Insurance and Mortgage industries and brings his business background to his current position as Assistant Director.
Steve manages the student side of the Disability Resource Center providing accommodations and resolving barrier issues to students with disabilities of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He is involved with the MoSAIC program co-teaching the fourth year cohort and also acts as a life coach providing academic and life skills to the students of MoSAIC. By focusing on his background in business, Steve is working with colleagues to better develop the 4th year curriculum to focus on work skills needed to gain and maintain employment. Using his own life experiences, it is Steve’s goal to prepare students with disabilities for the workforce and life after college.
