Alishea Ziegler Hixson joined the Office of Development and Alumni Affairs in December 2015. An alumna of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, she holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology: Child & Family Studies.
As a student, she was actively involved with the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, where she served as the UTC Chapter president and the state president for Tennessee. She was also a member of the Freshman Senate and was a part of UTC's Up 'Til Dawn Committee.
Most recently, Alishea served as Director of Special Events at First Things First in Chattanooga for several years. She is a 2014 graduate of Protege Chattanooga, the Chamber of Commerce’s leadership mentoring program, and has volunteered for Girl Scouts for many years, including serving as the former chair of the Gold Award Committee.
Alishea is active in the community and in her church—serving as a deacon and working with the youth. She and her husband David reside in Hixson. They met and started dating while students at UTC.
