Dean's Engineering and Computer Science Annual Fund

The Engineering Gift Fund provides much-needed resources for the Dean of the College of Engineering and Computer Science to use throughout the academic year. Each year, the Dean encounters many needs including those planned - such as maintaining all 33 of the Colleges labs and those unplanned, like when a dedicated student needs financial assistance to avoid dropping out that semester. Additional examples of what this fund is designed to cover include:

  • Merit scholarships – 10 undergraduate students @ $1,000 each = $10,000
  • Graduate Research Fellowships – 4 students @ $25,000 each = $100,000
  • Faculty Development – conferences and travel for 4 faculty members @ $1,875 each = $7,500
  • Technology and Lab Support – to upgrade one lab @ $30,000 each = $90,000
  • Student Development – conferences and travel for 5 students @ $1,000 each = $5,000
