General Scholarships
Gary W. Rollins Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a business major.
- Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
Dean’s Advisory Board Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are juniors or seniors. Must be available to meet with an assigned mentor twice each semester.
Students are selected to the Gary W. Rollins College of Business Advisory Scholars Program who have demonstrated strong academic skills and service to the community and university. Open to rising juniors and seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in minimum of 12 credit hours each semester
- Preference is given to students who have earned, or will earn, a portion of their educational costs.
- Preference is given to students who have been, and will continue to be, active contributors to civic causes in the community.
- Preference is given to students who have participated in extracurricular programs and activities such as student clubs and organizations, sports and music.
- The majority of student’s coursework must have been at UTC, and the cumulative GPA must be at least 3.0.
Elliott Davis Scholarship in Business
Open to all UTC business majors who are sophomores, juniors, seniors or graduate students.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.
- Applicants should exhibit strong civic contributions while maintaining a strong
academic record, with a minimum 3.0 (out of 4) GPA. - Applicants must hold current status in good standing.
- Financial need may be considered.
The General Fund Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Marvin L. Anthony Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors.
This award is available to Business Majors on the basis of good character, need for financial assistance, and academic record.
- Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours each semester.
- Have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Joyce Ireland Cook Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A female student pursuing an undergraduate business degree.
- Have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Preference given to students who are working part-time.
- Preference given to students who demonstrate active membership of at least one university-sponsored organization.
Greg A. Vital Scholarship in Business
Open to all UTC business majors who are juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
- Have a minimum 2.75 cumulative GPA.
Preference will be given to students from the following TN counties: Hamilton, Bradley, McMinn, and Meigs.
C. Gibbs & Linda W. Smith Scholarship Fund
Open to all UTC business majors who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in business.
- Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. If incoming freshman, ACT score must be 23 or higher.
- Preference given to students from Nashville, TN.
If no qualified recipients meet the above criteria, the preference shall be given to any student within the state of TN.
Miriam Ash Brown Memorial Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are juniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A Junior transferring from Cleveland State Community College who has already received the Miriam Brown Scholarship.
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
Joe & Rachael Decosimo Scholarship
Open to all UTC business majors who are freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors.
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Exhibit strong civic contributions while maintaining a strong academic record.
- Have a minimum 3.25 GPA or an ACT score of 20 or above.
- Must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in the Gary W. Rollins College of Business.
- Preference may be given to those who demonstrate financial need.
