Sue Culpepper is currently the Director of the College of Business Student Success Center at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga, TN. She is a former executive with SunTrust Bank, where she most recently served as the Chattanooga City President and Managing Director of the Wealth Management Group for SunTrust in Chattanooga. Sue is an investment professional, with investment designations of Series 7, 66, and 24 FINRA licenses. She spent 23 of her 30 years in banking with SunTrust Bank, and has recently joined the College of Business at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she is now the Director of the Galtere Institute which is a mentoring program for female honor students in Finance.
A dedicated civic leader, Sue is a Rotarian, a member of the University of Tennessee Alumni Association’s Women’s Council, University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Alumni Association, Chattanooga Women’s Leadership Institute, and serves on the boards of the Chattanooga Symphony and Opera Association, Chattanooga Ballet, Chattanooga Area Urban League, the Dean’s Advisory Board for the University of Tennessee College of Business, American Cancer Society and Friends of Memorial Hospital.
An avid volunteer, Sue has provided volunteer support to United Way, the Mary Ellen Locher Center, Memorial Hospital, Allied Arts, The Chattanooga Theatre Center, Chattanooga Area Food Bank, American Heart Association and Siskin Children’s Institute. Sue was one of the founding board members, and past chairman of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Chattanooga.
