Master of Accountancy (MAcc),

Professional Accounting

(Beginning Fall 2015)

The Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree has been revised beginning fall 2015 to focus more fully on preparing students for careers as professional accountants. This preparation includes increasing students' awareness and knowledge of current and emerging technical issues facing the accounting profession, developing students' research and communication skills, and preparing students to pass the Uniform CPA Examination. 

Program Advantages

  • Includes coursework that prepares students for the Uniform CPA Examination.
  • Two elective track options: 1) Forensic Analytics Concentration, 2) Choice of one accounting elective and three MAcc management, marketing, business administration, finance, and/or accounting electives.
  • MAcc 4+1 Program for eligible UTC undergraduate students majoring in accounting.
  • AACSB-accredited accounting program

Beginning with fall 2015 admissions, the UTC Master of Accountancy curriculum, admission requirements, and prerequisites will be replaced by those listed in the sections above.
