Students gain hands-on knowledge of real-time trading with a live ticker, CNN market feeds, and 10 Bloomberg terminals.  All College of Business majors now have the opportunity to become “Bloomberg Certified” through this unique, self-paced program.

Galtere Institute: Finance for the Future Curriculum
Finance majors in the College of Business have the opportunity to participate in activities and events that embrace the Finance for the Future mission and provide them in-depth knowledge and insight into the neuro-science of trading and investing of behavioral finance.  Students gain “real world” knowledge of trading and investing from area professionals in the field, through the exposure to classroom assignments, field trips, speakers, workshops and networking events.

Trading and Investment Club (TIC)
Finance for the Future students started up the first “investment club” in the College of Business where they will participate in real trading experiences and portfolio management. Students have regular exposure to speakers and real world events to enhance the classroom experience.

Wall Street Ready
An important initiative is to produce graduates who are “business world ready.”  As part of this effort, students take an annual trip to Wall Street to visit the NYSE along with trading and investment professionals in New York. Trading competition events are also held to further support the learning experience. Students will be allowed to submit applications in early Spring semester.

Galtere, Ltd. Internships
Each year, rising senior students are selected from an application process to spend four weeks of the summer at the hedge fund firm, Galtere, Ltd., in New York City. The interns are exposed to live trading, research, and outstanding wall street professionals.
