Paul Clark has served as Director of Major Gifts for the College of Arts & Sciences since November of 2014. His primary responsibilities include management of all development efforts for the School, with a focus on securing individual philanthropic gifts. Paul serves as a liaison between the Office of Development and the College of Arts & Sciences.
A native of Covington, Virginia, Paul began his career in fundraising at his alma mater, Virginia Tech, where he earned a BA degree in Communications. During that time, he served as a member of the Advancement team that successfully completed the $1 billion Campaign for Virginia Tech. Following Virginia Tech, Paul served in the Advancement offices of Radford University in Radford, Virginia during the completion of the $40 million Building a Legacy campaign, and Elon University in Elon, North Carolina during the $100 million Ever Elon campaign. He most recently served as Director of Major Gifts for the School of Dentistry at the University of Louisville during the final two years of UofL’s successful $1 billion Charting Our Course capital campaign.
In the past, Paul served as Vice President of the Board of Directors of Radford Child Care Center in Radford, VA and as an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). He has presented at numerous industry meetings and conferences, including the CASE District III annual meeting. Paul is a Freemason and Rotarian, and has held leadership positions in multiple civic and volunteer organizations.
