2014 CHEMISTRY DAYOn October 25th at the Chattanooga Creative Discovery Museum, Chem Club student volunteers and faculty celebrated the Annual Chemistry Day. This year’s theme was “Sweet side of Chemistry-Candy”. Club students and faculty demoed “Shrinking balloons with liquid nitrogen”, while visiting local kids and family got to do hands-on activities such as “Stress balls”, “Slime”, and “Color candy wheel”. Chem Club is thankful to Ms. Hardy and Mr. Narramore who organized liquid nitrogen, bringing smiles to many kids. Here are some pictures from this event. (10/25/2014)

KUTZ RETIREMENT PICNIC: Family and friends celebrated the retirement of Dr. Doug Kutz after 36 years of service at UTC, twelve of them as Chemistry Department Chair.  The celebration took place at Chester Frost Park. Here are some pictures from the picnic. (05/10/2014)

ICE CREAM PARTY FOR GRADUATING SENIORS: Graduating seniors and faculty met for a cup of ice cream and some reminiscing in Grote 324. This event replaced the typical graduating senior picnic from the past. Here are some pictures from this event. (04/16/2014)

2013 CHEMISTRY DAY: On October 26th at the Discovery Museum, Chemistry Club members participated in hands-on activities in order to celebrate the National Chemistry Day.
