UTC Chamber Singers auditions for Fall 2013

Auditions for the UTC Chamber Singers will take place by appointment between Monday March 25 and Thursday March 28. The short 5 minute audition will include singing "My Country 'tis of Thee", sight singing, range and ear training checks. Contact the Choral Activities office for more information or to make an audition appointment. 425-4612 or Marion-Perkins@utc.edu. UTC String Project

Details:
The String Project at UTC provides an opportunity for school-aged children to learn a stringed instrument at a reasonable cost. Students receive private and group instruction on their chosen instrument from qualified music interns under the supervision of an experienced string music educator. Students in grades 3-12 may apply for admission to the program. If an orchestra exists at the student�s school, they must be enrolled in that group to participate in the String Project. UTC has a limited number of instruments available for rental.

The UTC Music Department is pleased to present the annual Campus Composers Concert, coordinated by Jonathan McNair. This performance will showcase compositions by young and talented musicians of the UTC, who alternatively conduct or perform their own arrangements. The concert will take place in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga on Monday, March 25, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. and is presented free of charge and open to the general public. This will be an evening of world premiere performances! Catch the excitement with us!
