Hebrew Crash Course
Details:
The objective of this course is for the student to become familiar with the Hebrew alphabet, rudiments of Hebrew grammar, learn some basic vocabulary, and to be able to recognize, read, and speak Hebrew. This ‘crash course’ introduces the student to the origin of biblical Hebrew and its presage to modern Hebrew. Each student will receive an introductory pamphlet to the study, the additional 58-lesson ‘crash-course,’ and an accompanying audio CD. $90 When: Mondays, October 7 - November 11, 2013 Time: 6:00-8:00 p.m. UTC: TBA |

UTC String Project
Details:
The String Project at UTC provides an opportunity for school-aged children to learn a stringed instrument at a reasonable cost. Students receive private and group instruction on their chosen instrument from qualified music interns under the supervision of an experienced string music educator. Students in grades 3-12 may apply for admission to the program. If an orchestra exists at the student’s school, they must be enrolled in that group to participate in the String Project. UTC has a limited number of instruments available for rental. PHR/SPHR Review Course
Details:
UTC, in collaboration with the Chattanooga Human Resources Association (CHRA), is an official University provider of the SHRM Learning System. This program is a comprehensive review for the Professionals in Human Resources (PHR) and Senior Professionals in Human Resources (SPHR) exams. Participants receive a complete set of the SHRM Learning System materials, a $425 value. UTC faculty and area professionals teach the course.
