ACT Preparation

Course# 5196
ACT workshops are designed to help students take an individualized study approach to the new ACT Test and conquer the test. An actual retired ACT Test will be given to the student to show strengths and weaknesses in all areas tested. This class offers a review of English, math, reading and science reasoning, essay questions, and in-class problem solving and strategies. Test-taking strategies and test format review will be covered for each required testing point. Students will leave with a personal study plan, extra retired tests, and a workbook with explanatory answers to each test question.
$175 (workbook included)
(Each student will need to bring a calculator,
2 sharpened pencils, and a sack lunch.)
Location: St. Jude School (Family Life Center)

UTC Chamber Singers Auditions

Auditions for Fall 2012 UTC Chamber Singers will take place Tuesday through Thursday March 20-22 by appointment. There are openings in all sections. Call 425-4612 or email Marion-Perkins@utc.edu to schedule an appointment for the 5 minute audition. There is nothing to prepare. You will be asked to sing "My Country Tis of Thee" (Music provided). Your range will be tested and you will be asked to sing an ear training exercise and sight read a short line of music.

The Chamber Singers are the main touring chorus in the music department. Plans are forming for an international tour for spring 2013.

Practice your canoe skills on the open water! This is going to be a day filled with relaxation and satisfaction as we clean up the rivers of Chattanooga in order to preserve its beauty.

Most trips are free, unless otherwise posted, with one week's $20 reservation deposit. Sign up in the ARC Outdoor Center. Transportation provided to the first ten people to sign up.
