Participants build a comprehensive business plan for their venture concept, learn to implement valuable management and marketing skills, and receive constructive feedback from an advisor, peers, and former graduates. It is best suited for participants who already have a clear business idea, as the material is applied to that concept’s development. This will be an 8-week program offered as a 3 hour evening course.

The compressed format of this class will give you basic language skills and a general overview of German in just 2 hours a week for 4 weeks. Your Instructor, a German National, will focus on proper pronunciation and provide tips and caveats concerning German etiquette in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

ACT Preparation

ACT workshops cover general information about the tests as well as individual sections for the ACT in English, Math, Science, and Writing. Each student receives 5-6 hours of classroom instruction and a workbook that has an additional 10-15 hours of supplementary work. The workbook includes an actual retired ACT test with explanatory answers, English and Math reviews, clearly outlined content overviews for each subsection, quick tip study guides, and additional retired ACT tests. *Both workshops are open to the public.

You’re On the Air: How to Really Make it in Voice-Overs

Voice-overs are hot today! You don’t have to be an actor to get voice-over work, but it certainly doesn’t hurt! With such notable talent as Morgan Freeman, Glenn Close, and Alec Baldwin lending their voices to commercials, films, and videos, one would think that it would be next to impossible to break into this field. Not so! You’ll learn about an exciting, new way to get around the competition and actually turn voice-overs into a thriving full or part-time business! The instructor will discuss the voice-over business as a whole, the numerous opportunities, the incredible income potential, and the all important “demo” and how to have it produced. You’ll step up to the mic and do some practice recording, and best of all, you’ll hear the results! This is a one-time class meeting. Choose between the spring session in April and the summer session in June.
