UTC String Project
Details:
The String Project at UTC provides an opportunity for school-aged children to learn a stringed instrument at a reasonable cost. Students receive private and group instruction on their chosen instrument from qualified music interns under the supervision of an experienced string music educator. Students in grades 3-12 may apply for admission to the program. If an orchestra exists at the student’s school, they must be enrolled in that group to participate in the String Project. UTC has a limited number of instruments available for rental. The UTC Music Department is pleased to present, “Cellobration: From Russia with Love”, featuring cellist I-Bei Lin and pianist Sin-Hsing Tsai. The performance will take place in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga on Thursday, March 7, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. The performance is presented free of charge and open to the general public. |
