The String Project at UTC provides an opportunity for school-aged children to learn a stringed instrument at a reasonable cost. Students receive private and group instruction on their chosen instrument from qualified music interns under the supervision of an experienced string music educator. Students in grades 3-12 may apply for admission to the program. If an orchestra exists at the student�s school, they must be enrolled in that group to participate in the String Project. UTC has a limited number of instruments available for rental.

Mar 21	7:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.	UTC Orchestra, featuring Salome Jordania and Giorgi Jordania Calendar: cal4 Posted by: Terry Sanford Details: The UTC Music Department is delighted to present the UTC Orchestra, directed by Jooyong Ahn, and featuring Salome Jordania, Guest Pianist, and Giorgi Jordania, Guest Conductor. The performance will take place in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall at the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. The program features Franz Schubert�s �Symphony in B minor� Unfinished Symphony and Robert Schumann�s �Piano Concerto in A minor�. The performance is presented free of charge and open to the general public.
