The UTC Music Department, in collaboration with the Chattanooga Clarinet Choir, is pleased to present the second annual “River City Clarinet Winter Festival” on Saturday, January 19, 2013. This year’s guest artist-clinician will be Dr. Jun Qian, an internationally renowned performer and teacher who is widely recognized for blending formidable technical agility with impeccable musical artistry. The guest artist recital, featuring Jun Quian, will take place at Cadek Recital Hall, 725 Oak St., Chattanooga at 2:00 p.m. The Chattanooga Clarinet Choir and the Festival Clarinet Choir, directed by Jun Qian and Robert Dugan respectively, will take place at Roland Hayes Concert Hall in the UTC Fine Arts Center, 752 Vine St., Chattanooga at 5:00 p.m. Performances are presented free of charge and open to the general public.
