John A. Allison IV will appear in the 2012 Burkett Miller Lecture Series addressing the topic “The Financial Crisis: Causes and Consequences” on Monday, October 8, 2012 at noon in the University Center Auditorium. Mr. Allison will provide an insider’s perspective on both the causes and consequences of the recent financial crisis and the ensuing Great Recession. His lecture will contrast government policy and market failure as contributing factors of the crisis and how the fundamental principles of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness may contribute to recovery and long-term economic vitality. Sponsored by the Scott L. Probasco Jr. Chair of Free Enterprise, this event is free, open to the public, and seating is limited to a first-come, first-served basis.
