The Jazz Band concert will feature music from the bebop era including works by Miles Davis and Charlie Parker. Other works on the program will demonstrate a variety of jazz styles as performed by big band leaders such as Gordon Goodwin, Sammy Nestico, Bob Mintzer, Matt Harris, Oliver Nelson, Chick Corea, and Tom Kubis. The Jazz Band is directed by Dr. Erika Schafer

**This is a free concert located in the Roland Hayes Concert Hall (UTC Fine Arts Center)

Set in 1954, this classic American musical follows the antics of the employees of a pajama factory who negotiate workplace politics, union disputes and a blossoming romance. Featuring classic songs such as “Steam Heat”, “Hey There” and “Hernando’s Hideaway.”
