UTC String Project
Details:
The String Project at UTC provides an opportunity for school-aged children to learn a stringed instrument at a reasonable cost. Students receive private and group instruction on their chosen instrument from qualified music interns under the supervision of an experienced string music educator. Students in grades 3-12 may apply for admission to the program. If an orchestra exists at the student’s school, they must be enrolled in that group to participate in the String Project. UTC has a limited number of instruments available for rental. CAP Review Course
Details:
This is an in-depth review course for the Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) examination. The CAP rating is the achievement of the internationally recognized standard of proficiency in the secretarial and administrative support professions. In today’s workplace, having the CAP credentials can be assurance of employability, pay increases, bonuses and opportunity for advancement. The CAP examination covers three main subject areas: • Office Administration • Office Systems and Technology • Management To receive CAP certification you must register and pay a fee to the International Association of Administrative Professionals. The exam is given the first Saturday in May and November. UTC is an authorized testing center for the CAP examination. Beginning Golf
Details:
This class is for the individual who wants to learn the basic skills of playing golf. The instructor will teach you the basics of putting, chipping, iron shots, woods off the ground and tee. Begin now to learn a sport for a lifetime. Beginning Digital Photography: Getting to Know Your Camera
Details:
This class is helpful whether you have a point and shoot camera or a digital SLR and just want to know what all those buttons do. We will discuss terminology, the various camera controls, menus, and how to make your manual your friend. We will make sure that your camera is set up the best way for the subjects you like to shoot.
