Write Here, Write Now!
Details:
In this class we will learn and engage in a writing process known as Proprioceptive Writing (PW). Whether you are interested in writing primarily for yourself or for an audience, PW can help you express yourself with precision and strength. Through PW you can learn to focus attention, develop discipline, narrate and explore experience in depth, discover life stories, and bring more of yourself into your writing. Your writing will become more textured, cathartic, and fresh. As a bonus, the writing that is generated by this process will provide a rich storehouse of raw material that you can draw on for future writing projects. $125 Course #: 5194 When: Wednesdays, January 16 - February 13, 2013 Time: 9:00-11:45 a.m. •Location for all of Anne Bright’s courses: The Proprioceptive Writing Center, Southeast Suite #210, 1401Williams Street, Chattanooga, TN •Required text for all courses: Writing the Mind Alive: The Proprioceptive Method for Finding Your Authentic Voice, Metcalf and Simon, (Ballantine, 2002). •Ms. Bright has taught Proprioceptive Writing for over fifteen years and still works closely with Drs.
